Discover the former village of Montmartre atop the highest hill of Paris. Learn about its name, the mount of martyrs and many others stories which make this charming neighbourhood, unique.

During this tour, you will discover the hidden alleyways where artists like Picasso, Renoir or Van Gogh lived and worked, as well as landmarks such as Le Moulin de la Galette, artist workshop « Le Bateau Lavoir » and « Le cabaret du Lapin Agile ».

We’ll talk about the Bohemia and the ups and downs of this artistic way of life, forgetting one’s sorrows, and drinking absinth and wine. On this matter, you will also see the last vineyard of Paris. I will show you how, during the 1930’s, Montmartre became a sought after area where architects built several artist studios.  We will finish the tour in front of the famous Sacré Coeur Basilica, embracing a spectacular panorama of Paris.
